Verre Glycolic Acid Glow Toner
A 7% glycolic acid toner, formulated at pH 3.6.
Glycolic acid is the smallest of the alpha hydroxy acids, which is why it moves through the skin's surface layer more readily than lactic or mandelic acid. It loosens the bonds holding dead cells at the surface. At 7% this is a moderate strength: enough to do something, mild enough to build up to.
How to use
At night, on clean dry skin. Two or three drops on a cotton pad, avoiding the eye area. Start two nights a week and increase only if your skin stays comfortable. Do not use it on the same night as a retinoid while you are building tolerance. Wear SPF every morning after — glycolic acid increases sun sensitivity, and skipping this undoes the work.
